Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962
and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice:
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Queenstown Lakes District) Notice 2002.
2. The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
4. All of the Traffic (Queenstown Lakes District) Notice No. 1, 1991* dated the 1st day of May 1991 is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within the Queenstown Lakes District at Albert Town:
Alison Avenue.
Arklow Street.
Bernard Road.
Carlow Street.
Dale Street.
Frye Crescent.
Gunn Road from Alison Avenue to Tania Terrace.
Kingston Street.
Kinnebig Street.
Lagoon Avenue.
Tania Terrace.
Templeton Street.
Wairau Road.
Wexford Street.
Wicklow Terrace.
Second Schedule
Situated within the Queenstown Lakes District at Albert Town:
State Highway No. 6: From a point 360 metres measured westerly generally from Alison Avenue to a point 620 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from Alison Avenue.
