Pursuant to Marine Protection Rule 132.7 (1) (c), I, Russell Paul Kilvington, Director of Maritime Safety, hereby give the following notice.
Approval for the dispersant known as Simple Green and manufactured in New Zealand by e-Products NZ Limited is hereby withdrawn for the purposes of the Maritime Transport Act 1994.
The approval is withdrawn for the reason that conditions imposed under Rule 132.5 (1) relating to the approval of the substance are not being adhered to insofar as testing of the approved dispersant has shown that it fails to comply with the specifications set out for Type 2 and Type 3 dispersants under Rule 132.9 (1).
