Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976,
and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by
the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand
dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Selwyn District) Notice No. 3, 2002.
2. The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared
to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
4. The Traffic (Ellesmere County) Notice No. 1, 1973, dated 16 October 1973*, issued pursuant to section 52 of
the Transport Act 1962, and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is hereby revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within the Selwyn District at Springston:
Ellesmere Junction Road, from a point 100 metres easterly generally along the said road from Leeston Road to a point 250 metres westerly generally along the said road from Waterholes Road.
Leeston Road, from Ellesmere Junction Road to a point 200 metres southerly generally along the said road from Ellesmere Junction Road.
Waterholes Road, from Ellesmere Junction Road to a point 200 metres northerly generally along the said road from Ellesmere Junction Road.
Second Schedule
Situated within the Selwyn District at Springston:
Ellesmere Junction Road, from a point 250 metres westerly generally along the said road from Waterholes Road to a point 750 metres westerly generally along the said road from Waterholes Road.
Leeston Road, from a point 200 metres southerly generally along the said road from Ellesmere Junction Road to a point 600 metres southerly generally along the said road from Ellesmere Junction Road.
