Notice of Proposed Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment Rule

In accordance with section 161 (2) of the Land Transport Act 1998, the Land Transport Safety Authority (LTSA),
on behalf of the Minister of Transport, gives notice of his intention to make a rule concerning driver licensing, and advises that the proposed Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment Rule (Rule 91001/2) is available for public comment.
This draft legislation is intended to amend Land
Transport (Driver Licensing) Rule 1999, which sets out
the requirements for obtaining and renewing a driver licence, and for driver licensing service providers.

The draft rule is also available for viewing at the LTSA's seven regional offices.
Copies of the draft rule have been made available to groups and individuals who have registered an interest in the rule.
