Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of a summary of exemptions,
set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

On: 9 April 2002.
To: Air New Zealand Limited.
From the Requirement in: Civil Aviation Rule 121.303 (b) that the holder of an air operator certificate shall establish the actual weights of goods and checked baggage.
Only With Respect to: Checked baggage accepted by
Air New Zealand Limited via the interline-transfer baggage system at Los Angeles, Honolulu and London Heathrow airports, and for which no actual baggage weight information is available.

From the Requirement in: Civil Aviation Rule 91.803 (2) that aircraft operated to or from any aerodrome within New Zealand is certificated for Stage 3 noise levels.
Only With Respect to: The operation of Ilyushin IL-86 aircraft, registration RA-86139, on the scheduled flights for United Nations peacekeeping contingent rotation between New Zealand and Baucau, East Timor, from
5 May 2002 until 28 May 2002 inclusive.
