Indicator Lamps
Pursuant to Regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, James Lindsay Graham Bell, Technical Co-ordinator, Vehicle Certification Unit, hereby exempt motor vehicles of the classes specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of Regulation 63 (2) (a) and 63 (4) (a), subject
to the conditions specified in Schedule 2.
Schedule 1
Exempted Vehicles
Motor vehicles of class groups M and N
Schedule 2
Conditions
(i) This exemption relates only to the prescribed height requirement for direction indicator lamps.
(ii) This exemption only applies to directional indicator lamps that have been certified as complying with one of the following vehicle standards:
? ECE 48
? EEC 76/756
? FMVSS 108
? ADR 13
(iii) This exemption does not apply to vehicles that have been modified from their state when manufactured if the modifications have affected the compliance of the direction indicator lamps with the vehicle standard to which the vehicle has been certified.
(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time.
