Pursuant to sections 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962, and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. This Notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimakariri District) Notice 2002.
2. The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section
52 of the Transport Act 1962.
3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
4. The Traffic (Rangiora District) Notice No. 1, 1986, signed on the 25th day of July 1986* issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within the Waimakariri District at Tuahiwi:
Tuahiwi Road: From a point 100 metres measured northerly generally along Tuahiwi Road from Bramleys Road to a point measured 800 metres northerly generally along Tuahiwi Road from Bramleys Road.
Second Schedule
Situated within the Waimakariri District at Tuahiwi:
Tuahiwi Road: From a point 800 metres measured northerly generally along Tuahiwi Road from Bramleys Road to a point measured 30 metres northerly generally along Tuahiwi Road from Turiwhaia Road.
Topito Road: From Tuahiwi Road to a point measured 600 metres south-westerly generally along Topito Road from Tuahiwi Road.
Turiwhaia Road: From Tuahiwi Road to a point measured 30 metres north-easterly generally from Tuahiwi Road.
Greens Road: From Tuahiwi Road to a point measured 150 metres southerly generally along Greens Road from Tuahiwi Road.
