WHEREAS by section 4 of the Deeds Registration Act 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General, by Order in Council, may from time to time alter the boundaries of any registration district and create new registration districts.
AND WHEREAS it is desirable to create the Hamilton Deeds Registration District comprising the former Taranaki and South Auckland Deeds Registration Districts.
NOW THEREFORE in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon her by the
Deeds Registration Act 1908, Her Excellency the
Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that from
10 January 2002, the Hamilton Deeds Registration District with the boundaries described in the Schedule below is created.
Schedule
Hamilton Deeds Registration District
All that area bounded by a line commencing on the seacoast at the north-eastern corner of Allotment 82, Koheroa Parish; thence westerly and southerly by the northern and western boundaries of the said Allotment 82 to and across East Coast Road and along the southern side of the said East Coast Road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 34974 (South Auckland); thence westerly to and along that boundary to its intersection with Miranda Road and across that road to a point on its southern side; thence along the southern side of Miranda Road and Findlay Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. S. 13400; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Lots 2, 3 and 1, D.P. S. 13400, Lot 1, D.P. S. 64743, Lot 15, D.P. 31704 and Lot 6, D.P. S. 9690 and across a public road to the northernmost corner of Lot 5, D.P. S. 9690 on Miller Road; thence westerly along the southern side of Miller Road and Miranda Road to the south-eastern corner of part Lot 11, D.P. 7211 (North Auckland); thence along that part of the northern boundary of part Allotment 164, Koheroa Parish, to the south-western corner of another part of the said Lot 11, D.P. 7211; thence continuing westerly along the southern side of Miranda Road and Mangatangi Road to its intersection with the middle of the Mangatangi Stream; thence down the middle of that stream, the Maramarua River and the Whangamarino River to the junction of the last-mentioned river with the Waikato River; thence by a right line to the south bank of the Waikato River; thence generally westerly along the southern bank of the Waikato River to the south head of its mouth; thence generally southerly by the seacoast to a point on the seacoast at the southernmost corner of Section 138, Block VII, Carlyle Survey District; thence generally northerly, easterly and northerly again along the boundary of the Wellington Deeds Registration District as described at in the New Zealand Gazette, 9 August 2001, No. 84, page 2170, to a point on the seacoast in the middle of the entrance of Ohiwa Harbour; thence bounded to the east and north by the seacoast to the point of commencement, including Mayor, Motiti, Whale and White Islands, and all other islands adjacent to the coast excepting those mentioned in the New Zealand Gazette, 1963, page 98, as being in the North Auckland Land Registration District, and including also such parts of the bed of the sea adjacent to such seacoast aforesaid as may from time to time be comprised in any certificate of title or other title that may have been issued or may be issued in the future in accordance with any sufficient authority.
