Under section 8 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator of the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the conservation area described in the Schedule shall be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as an historic reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.
