After due inquiry into a conviction under section 229A (b) of the Crimes Act 1961, and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (a), 42 (2) (a), 42 (9), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand
("the council"), in a decision dated 7 November 2000, ordered that Carla Lee Gansbauer's (also known as Carla Lee Chambers and Carla Lee Staples) name be removed from the roll of enrolled nurses.
It declined to fix a time after which she may apply to have her name reinstated to the roll.
The council also ordered that she pay $1120.00 towards
the actual costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council, and that a notice stating the effect of
these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette,
