Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Matahi
Pursuant to section 109 (3) of the Education Act 1989 and section 12 of the Interpretation Act 1999 and a power delegated to me, due to the intended absence of the commissioner for a period of 6 weeks, I, Kathy Phillips, Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, hereby:
(a) terminate the appointment of Himiona Hunia as commissioner of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Matahi, as from 13 December 2001.
(b) appoint Awhina Waaka, retired school teacher, as commissioner of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Matahi, as from 13 December 2001.
(c) terminate the appointment of Awhina Waaka as commissioner as from 29 January 2002.
(d) reappoint Himiona Hunia as Commissioner as from 29 January 2002.
