Pursuant to section 59 (2) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:
On 20 November 2001, the Minister of Finance, in relation to a contract between Land Information
New Zealand (LINZ) and "beTRUSTed" Limited
(a subsidiary of PricewaterhouseCoopers that specialises in providing digital certifications), gave an indemnity to beTRUSTed Limited against liabilities, losses, costs, expenses and damages arising from claims by third parties connected or arising out of the contract.
