In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982
Pursuant to section 119 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that on 11 September 2000, the
New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered as follows:
1. That the name of Brian Cyril Rowell be struck off the Roll of Barristers and Solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand with immediate effect.
2. The tribunal makes an order suppressing the publication of the names or any identifying details of the clients referred to in the charges or supporting evidence. There is otherwise, however, no restriction on the reporting of the hearing.
3. The question of costs was reserved.
