Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Amendment Notice (No. 2) 2001 (No. F197)

Pursuant to section 188 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the National Manager Fisheries Management, Ministry of Fisheries (acting pursuant to delegated authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988), gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title and commencement-(1) This notice is the Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Amendment Notice 2001 (No. 2), and is part of the principal notice.
(2) This notice comes into force on 1 October 2001.
2. Interpretation-In this notice, "principal notice" means the Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Notice 2000 S.R. 2000/170.
3. Part 2 of the Schedule amended?Part 2 of the Schedule of the principal notice is amended by:
(a) omitting from clause 5 the figure "2.85", and substituting the figure "2.75";
(b) omitting from clause 6 the figure "3.00", where it secondly occurs, and substituting the figure "3.50";
(c) omitting from clause 9 the figure "2.35", and substituting the figure "2.25";
(d) omitting from clause 9 the figure "3.00", and substituting the figure "2.85"; and
(e) omitting from clause 10 the figure "1.55", and substituting the figure "1.60".

Explanatory Note:
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which comes into force on 1 October 2001, amends the Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Notice 2000 by changing the conversion factors for hake, hoki and ling.
The changes are as follows:
(a) The conversion factor for skin-off trimmed fillets for hake is reduced from 2.85 to 2.75;
(b) the conversion factor for de-fat fillets for hoki is increased from 3.00 to 3.50;
(c) the conversion factor for skin-on untrimmed fillets for ling is reduced from 2.35 to 2.25;
(d) the conversion factor for skin-off trimmed fillets for ling is reduced from 3.00 to 2.85; and
(e) the conversion factor for headed, gutted, and tailed ling is increased from 1.55 to 1.60.
