The Board of Skill New Zealand - Pukenga Aotearoa, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, and having consulted with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, affords recognition to the Aviation, Tourism and Travel Training Organisation Incorporated to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the aviation, tourism and travel industry sectors effective from 19 March 2001.
