Notice Title

Termination of Dumping Investigation: Hollow Gold Jewellery From Italy

Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 11 of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), I have terminated a dumping investigation in respect of hollow 9-carat gold jewellery from Italy ("the subject goods") as described
in the Notice of Initiation of Dumping Investigation of
12 June 2001 (New Zealand Gazette, 21 June 2001, page 1511) imported or intended to be imported into
New Zealand.
I have terminated the investigation because I am satisfied that under section 11 (1) (e), New Zealand producers who previously expressed support for the application for the investigation have withdrawn that support in writing to such an extent that, by reason of section 10 (3) of the Act, the investigation could not have been initiated.
Dated at Wellington this day of 22nd July 2001.
PAUL SWAIN, Minister of Commerce.
