Pursuant to section 124 (1) (d) of the Social Security Act 1964, the Minister of Social Services and Employment establishes and approves the following Amendment to the Telephone Costs Payment Programme (as established and approved on 28 March 1999).

A m e n d m e n t
1. Title-(1) This Amendment is the Telephone Costs Payment Amendment 2001.
(2) In this Amendment, the Telephone Costs Payment Programme is called "the programme".
2. Commencement-(1) This Amendment comes into effect on the day after the date on which it is published in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. Amendments consequential on abolition of the Disability Assistance Programme-(1) Clause 6.1 of the programme is amended by omitting the words "or a payment under the Disability Assistance Programme under section 124 (1) (d) of the Act".
(2) Clause 7.2 of the programme is amended by omitting from paragraph (a) the words "or ceases to be eligible to receive a payment under the Disability Assistance Programme".
4. Revocation-The Telephone Costs Payment Amendment (No 1) is revoked.
