Section 11G of the Food Act 1981
Amendment No. 1 to the New Zealand (Mandatory) Food Standard 1997 was issued by the Minister of Health on
5 June 2001.
Amendment No. 1 will come into force on the 28th day after the date of this notification.
Amendment No. 1 adds bovine products as prescribed foods (high risk foods) and bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) as the condition to be monitored, to the New Zealand (Mandatory) Food Standard 1997.
Compliance with the New Zealand (Mandatory) Food Standard 1997 is mandatory.
