The Health and Safety Code of Practice for State Integrated Primary, Secondary and

Composite Schools
Pursuant to section 70 of the Education Act 1989 and to a delegation from the Secretary of Education, I hereby give the following notice.
N o t i c e
The Secretary for Education has specified the terms and conditions for health and safety requirements which apply to the land and buildings occupied by the boards of trustees of all State schools integrated pursuant to the provisions of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975.
Those terms and conditions are called The Health and
Safety Code of Practice for State Integrated Primary, Secondary and Composite Schools, pursuant to sections 70 (1) and (1A) of the Education Act 1989.
The boards of all State integrated schools will be notified of the Code.
An indemnity for all costs arising from any prosecution, conviction and fines under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 is included in the Code provided boards of trustees observe the conditions set out under the indemnity clause in Part 6 of the Code.
This notice comes into force on 1 June 2001.
