Pursuant to section 5A, sub-section 1, of the District
Courts Act 1947, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint
David James Carruthers, Principal Youth Court Judge
to be Chief District Court Judge on and from 1 June 2001.
