A m e n d m e n t
1. Title-(1) This is the Direction in Relation to Special Benefit Amendment 2001.
(2) In this Amendment, the Direction in Relation to Special Benefit is called "the Direction".
2. Commencement-(1) This Amendment comes into effect on 1 April 2001.
3. Increasing standard costs-Each provision of the Schedule of the Direction listed in the first column of the Schedule is amended by omitting every expression set out opposite to it in the second column, and substituting in each case the expression set out opposite to it in the third column.

Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the Amendment, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This Amendment is to the Ministerial Direction relating to the grant of Special Benefit under section 5 of the Social Security Act 1964.
Clause 3 amends the schedule of standard costs to take into account a CPI increase of 3.98%. The Amendment comes into effect on 1 April 2001.
