Pursuant to section 124 (1) (d) of the Social Security Act 1964, the Minister of Social Services and Employment establishes and approves the following Amendment to the Training Incentive Allowance Programme (as established and approved on 30 November 1998).

A m e n d m e n t
1. Title-(1) This is the Training Incentive Allowance Amendment 2001.
(2) In this Amendment, the Training Incentive Allowance Programme is called "the programme".
2. Commencement-This Amendment comes into effect on 1 April 2001.
3. Increasing weekly rate of allowance-Clause 6.1.1 of the programme is amended by omitting the figures "75.38" and "3,015.20", and substituting the figures "78.38" and "3,135.20" respectively.

Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the Amendment, but is intended to explain its general effect.
This Amendment to the Training Incentive Allowance Programme, under section 124 (1) (d) of the Social Security Act 1964, increases the weekly rate and the maximum annual amount of the Training Incentive Allowance to take account of a CPI increase of 3.98%.
The increases come into effect on 1 April 2001.
