Pursuant to the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the State Sector Act 1988, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 29 March 2000, I, John Gibson Bradbury, Deputy Secretary Air Services in the Ministry of Transport, hereby give notice that I have exercised the power conferred by section 87Q of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, to vary the terms of the Scheduled International Air Service Licence issued to Qantas Airways Limited to:
(i) remove the capacity restriction of the equivalent of
10 B747 services on services operated beyond
New Zealand;
(ii) permit the operation of all-cargo services from points in New Zealand to any point or points excluding Australia; and
(iii) remove the requirement that tariffs for carriage on services beyond New Zealand be approved.
This variation will take effect on 20 March 2001.
