Pursuant to section 77 (2) of the Electoral Act 1993, the Minister of Justice gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title-This notice may be sited as the Maori Option Notice 2001.
2. Commencement-This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. Period for exercise of Maori option-The period of
4 months during which, in 2001, any Maori may exercise the option given by section 76 (1) of the Electoral Act 1993, is the period beginning on 2 April 2001 and ending with the close of 1 August 2001.
