The Traffic (Far North District) Notice 2001

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Far North District) Notice 2001.
2. (a) The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962.
(b) The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962, for the period commencing 1 December each year and ending 30 April in the next ensuing year, and is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, for the remainder of the year.
(c) The road specified in the Third Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
3. The Traffic (Far North District) Notice No. 2, 1997*
is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within Far North District at Opononi:
State Highway No. 12 (Ohaeawai to Maungaturoto
via Dargaville): From a point 1970 metres measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Kokohuia Road to a point 2460 metres measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Kokohuia Road, and from Kokohuia Road to a point 320 metres measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Signal Station Road.
Situated within Far North District at Rangitane:
Rangitane Road.
Second Schedule
Situated within Far North District at Opononi:
State Highway No. 12 (Ohaeawai to Maungaturoto
via Dargaville): From Kokohuia Road to a point 1970 metres measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Kokohuia Road.
Third Schedule
Situated within Far North District at Broadwood:
Kaitaia-Motukaraka Road: From a point 200 metres measured south-easterly generally along the said road from Takahue Road to a point 1100 metres measured westerly generally along the said road from Takahue Road.
