Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the section of State Highway No. 1 described in the First Schedule hereto is revoked and the section of road described in the Second Schedule hereto is declared to be State Highway No. 1 within the meaning and for the purpose of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.
First Schedule
The section of State Highway No. 1 that is in Hurunui
District, commencing at a point (Route Position 195/7.67) 120 metres north of the Siberia Ford and proceeding in a generally south-westerly direction to a point (Route Position 195/16.10) 1.4 kilometres north of the Leader River Bridge; a distance of 8.56 kilometres.
Second Schedule
The section of newly constructed road, known as the Siberia-Ferniehurst and Hawkswood Deviations, that is in Hurunui District, commencing at a point (Route Position 195/7.65) 120 metres north of the new Siberia Stream Culvert and proceeding in a generally south-westerly direction to a point (Route Position 195/16.10) 1.4 kilometres north of the Leader River Bridge; a distance of 6.40 kilometres.
