Pursuant to Regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Laszlo Andras Hidvegi, Senior Engineer, Vehicle Policy, hereby approve the brake testing devices specified in Schedule of this notice for the purpose of testing brakes according to the requirements of Regulation 68 of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
Schedule
Make: Hofmann Werkstatt-Technik
Models: Brekon 131-3 series for an axle load up to 3,000kg;
131-4 series for an axle load up to 4,000kg;
131-4S series for an axle load up to 4,000kg.
Safelane Pro test lanes that are fitted with the following brake testing devices:
Brekon 130-3 series for an axle load up to 3,000kg;
130-4 series for an axle load up to 4,000kg;
130-4S series for an axle load up to 4,000kg.
Safelane Truck test lanes fitted with roller type brake testing devices suitable to test brakes of heavy vehicles with an axle load limit at a test speed as follows:
10t: axle load: up to 10,000kg, test speed: 2.8km/h or 5.6km/h.
13t: axle load: up to 13,000kg, test speed: 2.8km/h or 5.6km/h.
16t: axle load: up to 16,000kg, test speed: 2.6km/h or 5.2km/h.
18t: axle load: up to 18,000kg, test speed: 2.6km/h or 5.2km/h.
