Pursuant to sections 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Queenstown Lakes District) Notice 2001.
2. The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared
to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
4. The Traffic (Vincent County) Notice No. 1, 1984*, dated 19 July 1984, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within the Queenstown Lakes District at
Lake Hawea:
Bodkin Street.
Capell Avenue: From Domain Road to a point 80 metres measured southerly generally from Nichol Street.
Domain Road: from Capell Avenue to a point 40 metres measured southerly generally from Noema Terrace.
Ellie Place.
Elizabeth Street.
Esplanade Reserve.
Flora Dora Parade.
Lakeview Terrace.
Mary Lane.
Muir Road: from Lakeview Terrace to a point 280 metres measured southerly generally from Lakeview Terrace.
Myra Street.
Nichol Street.
Noema Terrace.
Parry Crescent.
Ryalls Way.
Skinner Crescent.
Second Schedule
Situated within the Queenstown Lakes District at Cardrona:
Crown Range Road: From a point 1500 metres measured southerly generally from Tuohys Gully Road to a point 2420 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Tuohys Gully Road.
