Watercare Services Limited-Notice Pursuant to Clause 23 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981

Watercare Services Limited ("Watercare") proposes to acquire the land described in the Schedule, pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981.
The land is required for wastewater treatment purposes, maintenance of an odour buffer and application of biosolids in connection with the upgrading and ongoing operations of the wastewater treatment plant at Mangere.
The reasons Watercare considers acquiring the land is reasonably necessary include:
(a) Providing a secure tenure for the Mangere wastewater treatment plant site and odour buffer. This can not be effectively obtained using any other instruments, for example, a lease, an easement, a licence or any other interest in the land.
(b) Ensuring sufficient control over the land which comprises the wastewater treatment plant and designated odour buffer zone, as the land is to be used for the application of biosolids or for plant expansion and any other permitted activities under the Resource Management Act designations applying to the land.
Anyone claiming an interest in the land (other than the registered proprietor of the freehold estate) may object to the acquisition of the land by Watercare. A written objection should be sent to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington, prior to Friday, 22 September 2000.
(i) Part of the vacant property at 120 Greenwood Road, Mangere (and also known as 15 Ascot Road, Mangere), being Lot 2, Deposited Plan 163082 and part Allotment 83, Parish of Manurewa, comprised in certificate of title 98B/510 (North Auckland Registry).
(ii) All of the vacant property at 131 Greenwood Avenue, Mangere, being comprised of 2 undivided ½ interests and otherwise being all that parcel of land comprising 11.3366 hectares and being part Allotment 83, Parish of Manurewa, comprised in certificates of title 85A/692 and 1391/52 (North Auckland Registry).
(iii) All of the property located at the end of Ascot Road, Mangere. There being no designated street address but known as 101 Ascot Road, Mangere, comprising 6.3882 hectares and being part Allotment 1, Deposited Plan 63557 and comprised in certificate of title 1967/57 (North Auckland Registry).
