Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation
from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, East Coast/Hawke's Bay Conservancy, Department of Conservation, classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a local purpose (soil conservation and river control) reserve and vests the reserve in the Gisborne District Council in trust for that purpose.

Second 1.3400 hectares, being Crown land; shown marked "J" on S.O. 8863.
Third 2.5800 hectares, being Crown land; shown marked "L" on S.O. 8863.
