The Board of Skill New Zealand - Pukenga Aotearoa, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, 18 September 2000, the Electricity Supply Industry Training Organisation was granted full recognition for the management of power systems and assets, design, construction, operation and maintenance of the production, transmission and utilisation of electrical energy effective from 16 October 2000.
It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework in the above areas at Levels 1-8.
The ITO shall be required to consult with other interested organisations over the setting of skill standards.
