Notice of Disciplinary Action Taken by the Electrical Workers Registration Board

The Registrar of the Electrical Workers Registration Board ("the board"), having been directed by the board, in accordance with section 139 of the Electricity Act 1992, gives notice of the following registered electrical workers having been disciplined by the board under Part XI of the Electricity Act 1992, and the effect of the decision or order of the board:
Rex William Elton, of Auckland, had his electrician's registration restricted for a period of 2 years from
20 July 2000. The restriction is that Rex William Elton is limited to work only in the employ of an approved employer and that details of any work undertaken by Rex William Elton during the currency of the restriction, which is subject to the issue of a certificate of compliance, shall be forwarded to the board within 30 days of the date the work was carried out. Rex William Elton was ordered to pay costs of four hundred and fifty dollars ($450.00). The costs to be paid by 25 August 2000.
Nigel William Boyes, of Christchurch, had his electrician's registration restricted. The restriction is that for a period of 3 months from 31 August 2000 a copy of any certificate of compliance issued by Nigel William Boyes must be forwarded to the Registrar within 30 days of completion of the work and be accompanied by full details of the test results obtained. The certificates supplied are to be subject to audit as determined by the Registrar. Nigel William Boyes was ordered to pay costs of four hundred and fifty dollars ($450.00). The costs to be paid by
6 October 2000.
Keith Andrew Deegan, of Christchurch, had his electrician's registration restricted. The restriction is that for a period of 3 months from 30 August 2000, a copy of any certificate of compliance issued by Keith Andrew Deegan must be forwarded to the Registrar within 30 days of completion of the work and be accompanied by full details of the test results obtained. The certificates supplied are to be subject to audit as determined by the Registrar. Keith Andrew Deegan was ordered to pay costs of four hundred and fifty dollars ($450.00). The costs to be paid by
6 October 2000.
