On 25 August 2000 at the District Court at Rotorua,
Steven Robert Rukuata, of 17 Deborah Place, Rotorua, was convicted and sentenced to 2 months periodic detention and disqualified from holding or obtaining a motor driver's licence for 9 months from 12 October 2000, following his conviction on 25 August 2000, for an offence of driving while disqualified (1) and for driving with excess breath alcohol (1) and, in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge J. J. Weir has ordered that a
1998 Mitsubishi Galant, registration No. YB 8859
owned by the above-mentioned defendant, is to be forfeited to Her Majesty, pursuant to section 84 (4) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.
The vehicle is to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, Rotorua, or a Bailiff of the District Court, Rotorua, by 4.00 p.m. on 25 August 2000.
