New Zealand Journalists Training Organisation Incorporated The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, 19 October 1998, the New Zealand Journalists Training Organisation Incorporated was granted full recognition as an industry training organisation for the news and feature reporting industry (including print, radio and television), with effect from 19 October 1998. It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework in the above areas at Levels 1-8. The recognition is granted with the recommendation that the New Zealand Journalists Training Organisation Incorporated include in its next 3 year plan a target date for the establishment of a foundation course for Maori, or other objective(s) as deemed appropriate to address the low participation rate of Maori in the mainstream media.
