Pursuant to sections 4 and 57 of the Judicature Act 1908,
His Excellency the Governor-General, in the name and
on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has been pleased
to appoint
John Joseph McGrath Q.C., Solicitor-General for
New Zealand
to be a Judge of the High Court of New Zealand and a Judge of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand to take effect on the 28th day of July 2000.
