Amendment No. 3 to the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Mandatory Food Standard 1999, was issued by the Minister of Health on
19 March 2000. Amendment No. 3 will come into force on 23 April 2000.
Amendment No. 3 establishes a maximum residue limit for ethylene oxide in spices of 20 mg/kg. Compliance with the provisions of the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Mandatory Food Standard 1999 is mandatory.
The New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Mandatory Food Standard 1999 and its amendments can be inspected at the Ministry of Health, 133 Molesworth Street, Wellington. Copies can be purchased from any Bennetts Government Bookshop.
