Notice of Application to Vary Terms of a Charitable Trust

In the matter of Section 36 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, and in the matter of The Leukaemia and Blood Foundation of New Zealand, a body duly incorporated under the provisions of the Charitable Trusts Act
1957-Applicant.
Take notice that on the 4th day of December 2000 at 10.00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as counsel may be heard, the applicant will move the High Court at Auckland for an order altering the rules of the applicant in the following respects:
1. Adding to the rules of the applicant as contained in a deed of trust dated the 28th day of November 1977, a new subclause 3 (n) worded as follows:
"3 (n) To provide patient support services including financial assistance to patients and families of patients suffering from blood diseases and disorders";
2. Renumbering subclause 3 (m) of the said deed of trust as subclause 3 (o);
upon the grounds that such alteration is necessary so as to empower the applicant to supply patient support services under its rules.
Any person desiring to oppose the proposed alterations must give written notice of his or her intention to do so to the Registrar of the High Court at Auckland, to the trustees of The Leukaemia and Blood Foundation of New Zealand and to the Attorney-General not less than 7 clear days before the said date of hearing.
