1999/16 : Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles
in Part Time School Speed Zones
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends Bylaw 1999/16 as follows.
A m e n d m e n t
1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. Delete the text in clause 2 (b) and replace with the following:
"part time speed limit" means the speed limit of 40km/h, as shown by the part time speed limit sign, displayed on the sections of State highway in the Schedule below on school days between the hours of 8.25 a.m. and 9.00 a.m. and 2.50 p.m. and 3.15 p.m.
3. After clause 2 (c), insert:
(d) "school days" means the days on which the schools adjacent to the sections of State highway in the Schedule below are open for instruction.
This amendment was made by resolution of the Transit
New Zealand Authority at a meeting held in Wellington on 6 December 2000.
