The Traffic (Clutha District) Notice 2000

Pursuant to sections 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Clutha District) Notice 2000.
(1) The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared
to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
(2) The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
(3) The Traffic (Bruce County) Notice No. 1, 1983, dated
26 April 1983* issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is revoked.
(4) The Traffic (Clutha District) Notice No. 1, 1991, signed 29 August 1991** issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is revoked.
First Schedule
SITUATED within the Clutha District at Waihola:
Lake View Street.
Sand Head Street.
Chatham Street.
Nore Street.
Margate Street.
North Foreland Street.
Ramsgate Street.
Castle Street.
George Street.
Ross Street.
School Lane.
Sandown Street.
Greenhithe Street.
Gull Street.
Goodwin Street.

Waihola-Taieri Beach Road: From Goodwin Street to a point measured 50 metres south-easterly generally along the said road from Ramsgate Street.

SITUATED within the Clutha District at Taieri Mouth:
Ayton Street.
Burma Road.
Connor Place.
Finlayson Road: From Marine Parade to a point measured 100 metres westerly generally along said road from Marine Parade.

Marine Parade.
Moturata Road: From Kingston Terrace to a point measured 520 metres southerly generally along said road from Coutts Gully Road.

Second Schedule
SITUATED within the Clutha District at Waihola:
State Highway No. 1: From a point 50 metres measured south-westerly generally from Castle Street to a point 200 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from Chatham Street.
SITUATED within the Clutha District at Papatowai:
Papatowai Highway: From Tahakopa Valley Road to Alexandra Street.
Chaslands Highway: From Alexandra Street to a point 220 metres measured southerly generally along said road from Alexandra Street.
SITUATED within the Clutha District at Taieri Mouth:
Taieri Mouth Road: From the western abutment of Taieri Mouth Bridge to a point 1050 metres measured easterly generally along Taieri Mouth Road from the eastern abutment of the Taieri Mouth Bridge.
Moturata Road: From a point 520 metres measured southerly generally along Moturata Road from Coutts Gully Road to a point 980 metres measured southerly generally along said road from Coutts Gully Road.
