Pursuant to regulation 2 (4) (c) (ii) of the Goods Service Vehicles (Constructional) Regulations 1936, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Laszlo Andras Hidvegi, Senior Engineer, Vehicle Policy, hereby approve the Central Lubrication Device specified in Schedule 1 of this notice for the purpose of being fitted to air brake systems of goods service vehicles, subject to conditions in Schedule 2.

Schedule 2
1. The device must be fitted according to the specification issued by the manufacturer of the device.
2. The brake impulse counter of the device may be connected to the "Signal" line of the air brake system through a restrictor only.
3. The restrictor must be immediately next to the point of connection, and it must be in a form of an orifice with a diameter not exceeding 1mm.
4. The air brake system of the vehicle must be protected according to regulation 2 (4) (c) of the Goods Service Vehicles (Constructional) Regulations 1936, but no separate air receiver is required for this device.
