It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated
1 November 2000 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares those parts of State highway described in the Schedule hereto, and as more particularly shown on plans LA/20/1617/1, LA/23/56/3, LA/23/59/1, LR/60, LA/20/1614/1, LA/20/1616/1 and accompanying schedules held in the office of the Regional Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be limited access road.
Schedule
1. The section of State Highway No. 5:
In South Waikato District, commencing at the south abutment of the Waimakariri Bridge (Route Position 5/1.39) and proceeding generally in an easterly direction to the Region 3/4 Boundary (Route Position 8/20.72); a distance of 22.04 kilometres.
In Rotorua District, commencing at the intersection with Tarukenga Road (Route Position 29/10.78) and proceeding generally in an easterly direction to its intersection with Ngongotaha Road (Route Position 29/16.00); a distance of 5.22 kilometres.
In Rotorua District, commencing at State Highway
No. 5/State Highway No. 30 Intersection (Route Position 56/0.00) and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction to Rainbow Mountain (Route Position 77/0.00); a distance of 20/29 kilometres.
2. State Highway No. 25A, in Thames Coromandel District, for its entire length commencing at Kopu (Route Position 0/0.00) and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction to Hikuai (Route Position 21/7.06); a distance of 28.26 kilometres.
3. The section of State Highway No. 28:
In South Waikato District, commencing at its intersection with State Highway No. 1 at Putaruru (Route Position 0/0.00) and proceeding generally in a
north-easterly direction to its intersection with State Highway No. 5 (Route Position 0/5.79); a distance of 5.79 kilometres.
In South Waikato District, commencing at its intersection with State Highway No. 5/State Highway No. 28 Intersection at Tapapa (Route Position 9/0.00) and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction to its intersection with Brown Road (Route Position 9/7.91); a distance of 7.91 kilometres.
4. The section of State Highway No. 37 in Waitomo District, commencing at its intersection with State Highway No. 3 (Route Position 0/0.00) and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction to its intersection with Waitomo Valley Road (Route Position 0/7.33); a distance of 7.33 kilometres.
