Regulations 1974
Pursuant to Regulation 16A (1) (c) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974, and pursuant to powers
sub-delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Peter Waring, Principal Engineer, hereby exempt the vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirement to comply with New Zealand 5446:1987 Code of Practice for Heavy Motor Vehicle Towing Connections, subject to the conditions in Schedule 2.

Conditions
(i) The towbar on the vehicle is identified as manufactured by Best Bars Limited and was constructed to meet the requirements of NZS 5467.
(ii) This exemption expires on certification of the towbar by the Chief Executive Officer of Best Bars Limited, and in any case expires no later than 6 months from the date of publication.
