The Legal Services Board gives notice that on the 28th day of March 2000, it issued the following two sets of Instructions to come into force on the 8th day of May 2000.

Legal Services Board (Criminal Legal Aid Remuneration) Instructions 1999-Amendment No. 1 (2 pages)
These Instructions provide that a special guideline fee
(1.5 hours at counsel's guideline hourly rate per hearing) may be paid to counsel appearing at interim and final callover hearings of indictable matters in Auckland Courts. The fee is in respect of the hearing and not each aided client.
Legal Services Board-Civil Legal Aid (Waitangi Tribunal) Remuneration Instructions 2000 (13 pages)
These are comprehensive new Instructions and are to be read in conjunction with the board's current civil legal aid remuneration instructions. They provide a special code of subcommittee practice to be followed by the Wellington-based Waitangi Legal Aid Subcommittee and offer advisory guidance on how many of the special features of Waitangi Tribunal cases are to be best accommodated.
