Declaration of Species of Marine Mammal to be a Threatened Species Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978 Pursuant to section 2 (3) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, and after having regard to relevant international standards and relevant standards within New Zealand, I hereby declare Hector's dolphin (Cephalorhynchus hectori) to be a threatened species for the purpose of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978.
