Revocation of Movement Control Notice Aujeszky's Disease Notice No. 1147 Pursuant to section 13a of the Animals Act 1967 and section 177 of the Biosecurity Act 1993, I hereby revoke the notice entitled Aujeszky's Disease Control of North to South Movement of Pigs (Notice No. 3511; Ag. 6/7/9/1) published in the New Zealand Gazette of 27 June 1985 at page 2721. Dated at Wellington this 3rd day of December 1999. JOHN LUXTON, Minister for Food, Fibre, Biosecurity and Border Control. The revoked notice prohibited the movement of any living pig into the South Island from any other area of New Zealand to prevent the spread of Aujeszky's disease. In November 1999 New Zealand announced its freedom from Aujeszky's disease.
