Cessation of Undertaking: Notice That the Undertaking on Alloy Wheels From Australia Will Cease to Apply In accordance with section 15 (8) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (``the Act''), the undertaking on alloy wheels from Australia* will cease to apply to those goods on 25 August 1999 unless, at that date, the goods are subject to review under section 15 (7) of the Act. Any interested party that intends to request the Secretary of Commerce to initiate a review before the termination date referred to above, should be aware that positive evidence justifying the need for a review must be provided to the Secretary. If an application is received which provides positive evidence justifying the need for a review, the Secretary must undertake a review investigation and report to the Minister of Commerce within 180 days on whether the undertaking should continue to be applied. Positive evidence justifying the need for a review should provide reasons for believing that the expiration of the undertaking would see the continuation or recurrence of the subsidisation of alloy wheels from Australia and for believing that such subsidisation would be likely to cause the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the New Zealand industry producing alloy wheels. The reasons should be supported by evidence and not based on mere allegations or assertions.
