The Resource Management (Approval of Vodafone New Zealand Limited as Requiring Authority) Notice 1999 Pursuant to section 167 of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister for the Environment hereby gives the following notice: N o t i c e 1. Title and commencement (1) This notice may be cited as the Resource Management (Approval of Vodafone New Zealand Limited as Requiring Authority) Notice 1999. (2) This notice shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette. 2. Interpretation In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires, ``line'', ``radio apparatus'', ``radiocommunication'', ``telecommunication'', ``telecommunication link'', ``telephone station'', and ``works'' have the same meaning as in section 2 (1) of the Telecommunications Act 1987; and ``lines'', ``telecommunications links'', and ``telephone stations'' have corresponding meanings. 3. Approval as requiring authority Vodafone New Zealand Limited is hereby approved as a requiring authority under section 167 of the Resource Management Act 1991, for its network utility operation of a system comprising telecommunication links to permit telecommunication and radiocommunication. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the network utility operation includes all lines, radio apparatus, telecommunication links, telephone stations, and works to permit telecommunication and radiocommunication; and includes the network within the meaning of section 2 (1) of the Telecommunications Act 1987 of which Vodafone New Zealand Limited is the network operator under that Act.
