Appointments to the Rules Committee Pursuant to the power vested in the Chief Justice of New Zealand by section 51b of the Judicature Act 1908, the Chief Justice of New Zealand has appointed Thomas Crowley Weston, one of Her Majesty's Counsel and Christopher Francis Finlayson, barrister and solicitor of Wellington to be members of the Rules Committee for terms expiring on the 27th day of August 2002.
