Appointment to the Rules Committee Pursuant to the power vested in the Chief Justice of New Zealand by subsection (2) of section 51b of the Judicature Act 1908, as enacted by section 4 of the Judicature Amendment Act (No. 2) 1985, the Chief Justice of New Zealand has appointed Thomas Crowley Weston, one of Her Majesty's Counsel of Christchurch and Christopher Francis Finlayson, barrister and solicitor of Wellington to be members of the Rules Committee for terms of 3 years commencing on the 28th day of August 1999.
