Appointment to the Rules Committee Pursuant to the power vested in the Chief Justice of New Zealand by subsection (3) of section 51b of the Judicature Act 1908, as enacted by section 4 of the Judicature Amendment Act (No. 2) 1985, the Chief Justice of New Zealand has appointed Master Geoffrey John Venning of Christchurch to be a member of the Rules Committee for the special purpose of advising the committee on matters of procedure from the perspective of a Master of the High Court, to hold office during the pleasure of the Chief Justice but in any event for a term no longer than 3 years from the 1st day of January 2000.
